The Gourmet Pizza is a restaurant like no other. Boston’s features
many unique traits that set it apart from other dining venues…it’s
all about the food, the people and the heritage. Boston’s is a full-service casual dining restaurant and sports bar…offering incredible gourmet pizzas (25 varieties!) and gourmet pasta, along with a wide variety of other great dishes—Danish Baby Back Ribs, entrée size salads, sandwiches and the largest Kid’s Menu in the casual dining segment. Boston’s uniqueness comes from two distinct experiences under one roof, an upbeat casual dining atmosphere that’s perfect for all size groups partnered with a lively sports themed bar. Boston’s started with Gus Agiortis, a Greek immigrant who jumped ship in Vancouver, and opened the first Boston Pizza in Edmonton, Alberta in 1964. He worked tirelessly to make pizza a household name in Western Canada. Gus’ first restaurant was known as “Boston Pizza and Spaghetti House.” The company started franchising in 1968 and has since evolved from a “pizza joint” into a full service casual dining restaurant and sports bar, currently with more than 230 locations in Canada. In 1998, the Boston Pizza team set its sights on expansion “south of the border” into the United States. The name was changed from Boston Pizza to Boston’s the Gourmet Pizza to communicate the superior product offering…this wasn’t just any pizza, it’s “gourmet pizza” with a crust, seasonings and flavors unlike any other. Boston’s continues its rapid growth today…with over 35 locations across the U.S. and Mexico and over 100 restaurants in development over the next several years.
